Why You Keep Attracting The Same Relationship Patterns (And How To Break Free)

👟 PLUS, the Parable of The Shoe! 😀

🌍 I’ve always been fascinated by patterns—why they form, why they stick around, and why, despite the pain and frustration they cause, people keep choosing them instead of taking the higher road.

Most people know they’re in a pattern. Looking back, they recognize the signs, but often only after a few failed relationships. What they don’t realize is that the people they’ve dated all carry the same energetic signature—even if their behaviors seem completely different.

It’s hard to see that, on a subconscious level, they’re actually attracting the very pattern they’re trying to avoid. And while their intuition is speaking, it’s often so subtle that they override it.

Then they scroll through Instagram or Facebook, seeing couples who look like they have it all together, and wonder—How can I be so strong in so many areas of my life but still keep ending up in the same relationships?

Sometimes, it’s not even a series of short-term relationships. It could be one long-term relationship—maybe a marriage—where the same fight, the same struggle, repeats over and over again, with no real shift in sight.

And then, the thoughts come, late at night:

🌀 “Is this all there is?”
🌀 “Is this what long-term relationships are supposed to feel like?”
🌀 “WTH, I just wasted another year of my life, and I’m not getting any younger.”

So they swear off relationships for a while, promising to focus on themselves. But within a few months, a knight (or princess) in shining armor just happens to appear—through a friend, social media, or sheer coincidence—and before they’ve even had time to breathe and process their own grief, they’re all in again.

🔹 The real issue? Deep-rooted subconscious relational trauma. This begins way before we can even tie our shoes. It’s wiring. It’s programming. It’s ancestral. It’s generational. And it can’t be fixed by just “figuring it out” or endlessly cycling through relationships, hoping to resolve it.

But here’s the good news: if we do the work in the BODY first, we can start to release that old programming and finally step into something new—something that actually fits.

→ So, How Does the Shoe Fit In?

I love a good analogy. There was a brand of shoes I loved—the colors, the style, the way they looked with my outfits. I got so many compliments.

But the laces always came undone. They weren’t the most supportive. And over time, I developed knee and hip pain. I didn’t think it was the shoes. I stayed loyal to the brand, buying the same style every year—until the pain got worse.

Then one day, I needed a new pair, but the brand had changed so much that nothing fit the same. Still, I kept searching, hoping one would magically feel right.

Finally, on an intuitive whim, I walked into a store and found a pair from a previous season. They weren’t my style. But they were supportive. They fit. I didn’t love them, but I gave them a week.

And what happened?
✔️ My knee pain disappeared.
✔️ My feet didn’t hurt.
✔️ My laces stayed tied.

But for weeks, I kept obsessing over how they looked. They weren’t me. Yet, the reality was—they actually supported me. So, I let them.

Breaking a Pattern Means Stepping Into a New Shoe—And It Won’t Feel Comfortable at First.

People think that when something is a good fit, it’ll feel right immediately. But if you’re used to the same dysfunctional patterns, the new choice won’t give you that instant spark.

You might even tell your friends, “This one is boring… There’s no connection.”

But real change requires stepping into the unfamiliar—being uncomfortable for a while—until the new pattern actually becomes your new normal.

But first, you have to ALIGN yourself enough to even be willing to TRY the new shoe in the first place.

And this is exactly what we do in the Ascend & Align Accelerator.

If this resonates with you, I’m offering a VIP private training for those who apply and are accepted. Just fill out a simple 2-question form to access it.

If you’ve been sitting there upset over how much time you’ve wasted, trust me—your time would be better spent watching this training.

✨ Your breakthrough is ready—if you’re ready to say it’s time. 🚀
